When you bring your body out into the landscape, you’re bringing your body home to where it belongs. Because human bodies weren’t really made for offices, for streets and corners and tight places.

Wilderness Base Camp Meditation Retreat – Collegiate Peaks Range, CO

Collegiate Peaks v 2This is a silent Vipassana meditation retreat in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. The powerful wilderness setting creates sacred time as we walk about 35 minutes on an easy and almost level trail to our beautiful streamside base camp, and practice together for five days. In the wild we form a quietly functioning Sangha, taking care of each other; each of us giving and receiving in turn. Each day will include instructions in nature practice, formal sitting, hiking meditation to some amazing lakes, ridges and viewpoints; unstructured time, and an evening fireside Dharma talk or discussion. Continuous mindfulness and appreciation and enjoyment of nature will be the focuses of the retreat.
